Tuesday, 13 October 2015 - 16:56

The lawsuit regarding the killing of 31 individuals including Major General Janaka Perera by a suicide bomb, was taken into hearing today before the Special High Court of Anuradhapura.
Former Opposition leader of the Central Nuwaragampalatha Provincial Council of Anuradhapura has provided evidence regarding the issue.
Both the LTTE members who admitted their fault regarding the crime were issued prison sentences earlier.
Yet since the main defendant of the case Umar Habithab claimed that he is innocent of the 48 allegations filed against him by the Attorney General, evidence is being heard currently. 158 individuals are named witnesses for the case.
