
Pillayan arrested in suspicion over Jospeh Pararajasingham’s murder detained and questioned

Police says that former Eastern Province Chief Minister Shivaneshathurai Chandrakaanthan arrested by CID on suspicion in connection with the murder of former TNA MP Joseph Pararajasingam is being further detained and questioned.
The CID arrested former Eastern Province Chief Minister Shivaneshathurai Chandrakaanthan alias Pillayan yesterday, who came to the CID to make a statement.
Earlier a group of CID officers left to baticalo to obtain a statement from Pillayan but he was not at his residence.
Later Sivanesanthurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan arrived at the CID along with a lawyer.
Police media spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that former Chief Minister of the Eastern Province Sivanesanthurai Chandrakanthan is being further detained and questioned.
