"Sri Lanka needs foreign investments, instead of foreign aid"- Finance Minister

The Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake pointed out to the United States (US) that Sri Lanka needs foreign investments, instead of foreign aid. He made these observations when he met with the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Maldives, Atul Keshap at the Ministry on Tuesday (29).

The Ambassador stated that the US administration is prepared to further strengthen the investment opportunities under the present Government in Sri Lanka. He emphasized that due to transparency and openness of the Government, strong investment opportunities have been created in the country.

 

The discussions focused on further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
